Carluke High Radio

There's a new sound in Carluke High - the sound of Carluke High Radio! Broadcasting live every Thursday lunchtime in The Street, entirely produced and delivered by pupils, it brings together a mixture of school news, music requests and birthday shout-outs.

Pupils can make their requests via our twitter feed @carlukeradio or alternatively they can come to the staffroom and make them directly. So far we have over 140 followers and have had over 500 requests. Hopefully this will continue to grow as time progresses, as will our professional-standard studio, with input from all staff and pupils expected as the phenomenon grows!

Future plans are to give other year groups the opportunity to learn how to produce and broadcast their own radio shows. Pupils will share in the collective goal of establishing a permanent school radio station. The sky is the limit with the possibilities! Who knows? We may have the next superstar DJ in our midst!
